Alliance Medical Ministry provides access to healthcare to working, uninsured adults in Wake County.
For low income working families, lack of access to preventative, affordable medical care can mean lost wages, expensive visits to the emergency room and higher likelihood of hospitalization. Even with the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, tens of thousands of hard working residents of Wake County with incomes at or below the federal poverty level with find themselves without access to affordable, compassionate healthcare services.
We help our patients manage and prevent the onset of chronic illnesses, and encourage healthy behaviors through exercise, nutrition education, gardening, and healthy eating.
In 2016, Alliance Medical Ministry provided more than 12,000 patient visits to working, uninsured adults.
