Garden Launch

Help us get our garden ready for the spring! 

Bring your children, friends and colleagues for a morning of garden education, activities and volunteer opportunities, and a blessing of the Community Garden that provides fresh foods to Alliance's patients.

Free and open to the public. 

Garden Education and Volunteer Activities:

Plant, weed and water the spring vegetables...and learn the importance of composting and rain barrels

Plant  tin can herbs...and learn about the plant life cycle

Build  "Insect Can Garden Posts" for the Alliance Community Garden...and learn the importance of pollinators

Plant  pollinator flowers...and learn how to plant on a budget and in small containers

Build  "Plastic Bottle Flowers"...and learn the importance of recycling

Please note: Children under the age of 13 must be supervised for the duration of the event. Participants under the age of 18 must sign a waiver form with their guardian(s).

The Deli-icious food truck will remain on the premises for those who would like to purchase lunch.

Parking is available in the parking lot of Alliance Medical Ministry.

Our "Walk with a Doc" launch will begin at 10:00 AM for those interested in participating. More information about "Walk with a Doc" visit: Wellness Programs 

In the case of rain, the event will be canceled. Volunteers will be contacted ASAP regarding any event status change.

Patient food drive:

Looking for another way to give back?  

Team up with your youth group, company, friends or family to participate in the Alliance Patient Food Drive, and bring these items with you:

Beans (low-sodium)
Vegetables (low-sodium)
Fruit (no sugar)
Peanut Butter (no additives)
Oatmeal (plain)
