Donald Gintzig, CEO

We are honored to partner with an exceptional organization like Alliance Medical Ministry, whose mission and dedication to this community aligns closely with the work we do at WakeMed. Through our partnership of many years, we have been able to better meet the health needs of those in our community who have limited access to quality care. I am proud of what we have accomplished and look forward to working together for many years as we strive to improve the health of our community.

Duke Raleigh Hospital provides generous funding to Alliance's diabetes programming and volunteer certified diabetes instructors to our monthly diabetes education program.

David Zaas, MD, President

Duke Raleigh Hospital and Alliance Medical Ministry share a strong commitment to the community, and to improving the overall health of Wake County.  We're proud to support the Alliance medical clinic and diabetes education classes, which help low-income, working families get the care and support they need.  Providing accessible, preventative health care is important to building a healthy community.

UNC-REX Healthcare accommodates all of Alliance’s lab screenings and provides breast screenings through the mobile mammography unit on a monthly basis.

Steve Burriss, President

For more than 120 years, UNC REX Healthcare has worked to meet the needs of our constantly changing community, including providing access to high-quality health care services for the underinsured and uninsured. We are proud of our long-standing partnership with Alliance Medical Ministry. Through financial support, lab services, and on-site mobile mammography screenings, together we are furthering each of our missions to help more people in our community get the care they need, when they need it.

Kristy Kearns, Practice Manager

For over 10 years, we have been honored to partner with Alliance Medical Ministry in the care of their patients' dermatologic needs. It has been so rewarding to be a small part of their far-reaching contribution to our community. When we were thinking of doing a skin cancer screening for the community, they were a natural partner and exceeded any of our expectations on the evening of our screening with their thoughtfulness, kindness, competency, and efficiency. We look forward to more opportunities to work with Alliance.

FIGS (Filling in the Gaps) of Wake County provides prescription medicine assistance for the uninsured and under-insured through collaboration with agency partners. Teresa, Alliance Medical Ministry Patient

My husband lost his job and with only my part-time work, we could not afford my medicine. I was so scared that I would get sicker.  I was so grateful for FIGS because Alliance Medical Ministry was able to get my medication for free during this crisis.

Raleigh Foot and Ankle provides our patients with specialty care, seeing about 3 Alliance patients every week. During the 2017 calendar year, 150 patients have been referred to Raleigh Foot and Ankle. We are so thankful for their partnership!

Dr. Kirk Woelffer, Physician/Surgeon

I got into medicine to help people - to help them feel better!  Alliance Medical Ministry allows me to help people feel better, and be better - without the annoying barriers of big pharmacies or big insurance. THAT is good medicine for the patients - and for me, too!
