A native of North Carolina, Pete grew up in Greensboro where he was raised in a family involved in both philanthropy and medicine. After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Duke University, he attended Wake Forest University for law school. As an investment banker for 20 years, constant travel led him to being on way too many airplanes. He later took an opportunity to consult from home, giving him the ability to spend time with his two daughters.

His philanthropic efforts span far and wide as a founding and long-time board member of Marbles Kids Museum located in downtown Raleigh, NC. While serving in the past as a trustee at Ravenscroft School, he has led major-gifts campaigns and chaired their Advancement committee. Over the years, his service to non-profit organizations has allowed him to fulfill his passion of making a lasting impact on the community.

In his free time, Pete can be found watching basketball, especially to cheer on his alma mater – the Duke Blue Devils. He considers himself a devoted Duke fan and a foodie.
